What to expect

Care Instructions

Regular Wiping: Wipe the Playmat's surface with a damp, soft cloth to remove spills, crumbs, or dirt. This will prevent stains and buildup.

Storing: When not in use, fold the Playmat for storage. Keep it in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture buildup.

Avoid Sharp Objects: Prevent scratches and punctures by keeping sharp objects away from the Playmat's surface.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or strong chemicals, as they can damage the Playmat's texture and color.

Regular Inspections: Periodically check the Playmat for any signs of wear, tears, or damage. Promptly address any issues to ensure the longevity of the Playmat.

Will cleaning of the PurePlay Playmat remove the antimicrobial properties of the mat?

The top layer of our Pureplay Playmat is infused with active silver compounds. It cannot be wiped away or worn off. The antibacterial effectiveness is long lasting. Prolonged abrasion on the playmat may however reduce or remove the antibacterial properties. 

How long will the antimicrobial properties of the playmat last?

Antimicrobial properties are built in to inhibit the growth of bacteria that may affect this product. The antimicrobial properties do not protect users or others against bacteria, viruses, germs, or other disease organisms.

Is Silver safe? Does it cause allergies or irritation?

Silver, a naturally occurring element, is widely used for its hypoallergenic properties. In our playmat, active silver compounds are embedded in the top layer. True allergic reactions to silver are extremely rare, making it safe for general use. However, if irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician.

What is the material of the Playmat.

The playmat has a XPE foam inner core laminated over with a fabric mesh and a topmost antimicrobial film layer.

Why is PurePlay made of XPE foam

XPE is lightweight with a closed cell structure which makes resistant to mold, mildew and is water-resistant. XPE is more firm that PU which is squishy and will crush easily underfoot while being soft enough for comfort. XPE foam is also a good temperature insulator and has good acoustic dampening properties. However, keep pointed and sharp objects away from XPE foam as they would puncture and damage the mat.
