These and many more amazing moms we work with, inspire us to to do better every day. We are glad to have them as our partners and this is our way of saying, thank you!

Sharon from Singapore

Sharon from Motherswork Singapore with her family

Sharon, the founder of Motherswork was one of Oribel's first partners in our home-country, Singapore and now they are one of our best retail partners in Singapore and China!

About Sharon's business

I’m the founder of Motherswork, a one-stop total shopping experience for mother, baby and kids’ products. Motherswork, an extension of me as a mother of 3, was created with one simple mission that is to partner mothers as they journey through pregnancy to motherhood.

The obstacles, challenge of a mompreneur and how do you overcome them

Time. There is not enough time in a day. The biggest obstacle is to divide time between growing the business and spending time with my 3 kids. To juggle between running a business and to be there at every school play, sports day, piano recital.

Piece of advice to other mompreneurs

Be the woman you want to be, be it business first or family first. They can never be equal despite what we are led to believe. Some things have to give. There are sacrifices to be made. But once you’ve decided, move forward. Don’t second guess.

Julie from Canada

Julie, co-founder of Kidz District Canada with her daughter and son

Julie co-founded Kidz District with her husband Phillipe in Montreal, Canada. Kidz District is the exclusive distributor of Oribel products in Canada.

Coming from the fashion & textile industry, Julie is a discerning businesswoman and handpicks the brands she represents. We are glad Oribel is Julie-approved!

About Julie's business

We are Kidz District, the exclusive Canadian distributors of what I consider to be the best brands in the baby and juvenile industry.

The obstacles, challenge of a mompreneur and how do you overcome them

The biggest obstacle for me was finding time to be the best version of myself for my family and work. I overcame it by slowing down and focusing on what's more important to me. I realized multi-tasking does not work for me. Slowing down and being fully present for my kids and work is what has helped tremendously with finding more time to accomplish what I really want. This is much more rewarding and fulfilling.

Get up early and meditate.

Piece of advice to other mompreneurs

Be powerfully present in everything you do and take time for yourself. Everyone around you will benefit from it.

The obstacles, challenge of a mompreneur and how do you overcome them

As a wife and mom of 2 wonderful boys, it’s finding that balance of family time, career, and startup. When starting a new business it compares to a baby you don’t want to step away, you love it so much you constantly want to work on the business. I try to balance my love for work by sharing it with my family. Making my children and husband aware as to why I’m doing it and sharing my journey with them. Celebrating the wins and sharing the learnings. But also making it a point to break away from work to spend quality time with them. Whether it’s a night at the movies or a trip to a park; make it special enjoy the moments with them.

When mama needs to unwind

I enjoy exercising and I love audiobooks. I’m a life long learner and find losing myself in a book great therapy. I’m currently listening to “Becoming” by Michelle Obama.

Piece of advice to other mompreneurs

Believe you can do it even when others tell you that you can’t, or you shouldn’t, or you are doing it wrong. Know yourself and believe in yourself. I recently saw a quote that says “She believed she could, so she did.” It was a great reminder of believing in myself. To all mompreneurs out there, believe in yourself. We are all superwomen, we just have to take a step back and recognize our own power.

Julie from Switzerland

Julie, founder of Klerelo Switzerland playing the piano

Julie is the founder of KlereloOribel's exclusive distributor in Switzerland.

She has studied law at Berkeley, was a full-time lawyer and now runs two successful businesses. qoqa.ch her other initiative, is a unique e-commerce platform introducing innovative brands to the Swiss. We are honoured to have partners like Julie who inspire us to achieve excellence.

About Julie's business

I launched my business Klerelo shortly after giving birth to my second child, in 2013. There were so many brands I wanted to get for my own family that were not imported in Switzerland at that time. The only way to get these brands was to purchase and distribute the goods myself. So, I decided to face this challenge and start a small distribution business in Switzerland for carefully selected premium babies and kids’ products.

The obstacles, challenge of a mompreneur and how do you overcome them

I was still working full time as a lawyer at that time, and my kids were still babies. I got extra support from my husband and my parents. Without them, it would have been impossible to travel, participate to fairs in Switzerland and in other countries, visit retailers, spend time with suppliers to negotiate contracts and shipments, etc.

When mama needs to unwind

Play the piano, at night, when everyone is asleep. A great way to relax and get all my ideas sorted out.

Piece of advice to other mompreneurs

Believe in yourself and do not imagine that it was easier for others.

Happy Mother's Day to you all!
